Rio Grande do Norte Minerals Museum has developed projects that aim to promote basic and applied research in the area of mineral goods, geodiversity and education, stimulating the development of technical and technological solutions and disseminating research as a propelling element of associated quality education. to socioeconomic development.
These were the research projects carried out by the RNMM over the years:

- Playing and learning geology at the RN Minerals Museum.
- Mineralogical characterization of zeolites from Rio Grande do Norte.

- Mineralogical characterization of the triphyllite-lithiophyllite series in the pegmatites of the Parelhas/RN region.
